The bookings were a success. We have our DC/VA trip pretty mapped out and everything except the car is confirmed for Costa Rica. It's amazing how much can be accomplished on a Sunday afternoon when the children are occupied by such things as pretending to conquer Everest and building a train track to Mexico. They're going to be ecstatic when we arrive to our tree house in the jungles outside of Arenal Volcano...
Ash had his kindergarten screening this week and after an hour of hopping from teacher to teacher, specialist to specialist for observations, assessments, etc he of course was delivered back to me with with smiles and a mention of how excited they are to welcome him next year. Our public school system makes a point of communicating to parents that they take kindergarten classroom placement very seriously which I'm hoping will result in him being placed with a perfect fit of teachers and fellow students. I know he'll do wonderfully regardless of the scenario that greets him, but I'll still cross my fingers for perfect.
